Hill Day 2022 - Virtual Edition
Earlier this month athletes, families, volunteers, coaches and staff from Special Olympics Manitoba participated in the national 2022 Hill Day – virtual edition. This was an opportunity to meet with federal MPs and Senators to first and foremost thank them and the government’s annual funding in support of Special Olympics across Canada. But it was also an opportunity to share the great work our Movement has done over the course of the Pandemic, and our plans for the future as we recover, reignite and rebuild. The need for the annual funding to continue beyond 2022 will ensure we can continue to positively impact the lives of our athletes.
We would like to thank all our Manitoba MPs and Senators for their support, and MPs Daniel Blaikie, James Bezan, Jim Carr, Larry Maguire, Raquel Dancho, Ted Falk and Candace Bergen; as well as Senators Mary Jane McCallum and Patricia Bovey for taking the time to meet with us.
