2016 Power Smart Manitoba Summer Games - Golf

The 2016 Power Smart Manitoba Summer Games golf competition was an incredible experience for the participating Special Olympics Manitoba athletes and coaches!

In the female Special Olympics event, Interlake’s Dominique Abraham shot a (75) to hold on for gold Tuesday after shooting a sparkling (67) in round one. Parkland’s Tammy Lumax won silver and Interlake’s Amanda Coutu earned bronze. Central’s Peter Thiessen shot the day’s best with a 47 to secure a gold medal in the male Special Olympics competition. Winnipeg Gold’s Matthew Watters and Winnipeg Blue’s Taylor Scott rounded out the podium winners. Brock Johnson, Curtis Funk and Ryland McKay also made it on the podium in the men's second division. 


Congratulations all the Special Olympics Manitoba golfers and coaches, it was an excellent competition! Thank you to all the amazing volunteers and staff who helped our athletes have such an awesome experience!
